Targeted E-mail Lists

You will sometimes see offers for targeted e-mail lists.  These are lists of e-mail addresses of people who have signed up to receive e-mail offers (supposedly.)  Most people these days state that their lists are double opt-in which means that the people receiving the e-mail have not only signed up to receive e-mail they have also confirmed it.

We strongly recommend you DO NOT USE THESE.

The reason is that most of these lists are not legitimate and if you send out emails to the people on the list you will be sending spam.  If you send out spam, your hosting account will be shut down and you will be required to reimburse us for the damage the spam has caused. 

If you are at all unsure about sending out e-mail to a group of people, please contact us prior to sending.  This way we can tell you if you are in danger of spamming.
